Lope left La Promesa at the beginning of the fifth season, which surprised many viewers. Now, however, Lope is returning to the series on its fifth season, but for how long?
La Promesa mansion is grieving after a tragic shooting that left new character Julieta seriously injured and Santos dead. In the midst of all this, Vera is burdened with guilt over what happened.
Vera confesses to Simona and Candela that Captain de la Mata and Julieta's husband Ciro are blaming her for the shooting at the mansion. Vera can still take it, but not Ricardo's attitude. Vera is convinced that Ricardo hates her for what happened.
Although Simona and Candela try to calm Vera down and make her understand that Ricardo is grieving, Vera remains firm in her decision to leave La Promesa. She claims to feel guilty about accepting the Marquis' hospitality and believes that her presence will only endanger everyone at the mansion.
However, someone interrupts the conversation: Lope. The former chef of the house returns to the mansion. Why?
Reason for Lope's Return
Lope has returned to La Promesa after receiving a letter from Santos about the Duke of Carril, unaware of the death of the lackey. Simona and Candela tell him the sad news. Meanwhile, a deeply shocked Vera runs away to avoid talking to Lope. After all, Vera left Lope with a letter after learning the reason why Lope left La Promesa.Lope wants to win Vera back, but she doesn't give him the chance.
Simona and Candela try to get Vera to talk to Lope, but she remains firm: she tells Lope to return to his fine life in Madrid, and to leave her alone.
