One of the most secretive relationships in La Promesa has long been that of Leocadia and Cristóbal. But then the butler's behavior changes. Leocadia's advances fall on deaf ears. Cristóbal uses his work as an excuse to not have time to sneak into Leocadia's bedroom. Leocadia knows something is up, but she doesn't know what yet.
The New Housekeeper's Struggle
Teresa is having a hard time. Since starting her job as a housekeeper, her relationships with her coworkers have deteriorated. She is even blamed for Lope's departure, and Vera gets angry with her. The only one who shows Teresa support is Cristóbal.
The butler finds Teresa completely broken once again after she has had an argument with her coworkers. He doesn't hesitate to offer Teresa his support and opinion. Cristóbal is constantly amazed by Teresa's big heart. Teresa defends her friends even when they treat her badly. Cristóbal thinks Teresa has a lot of love to give.
Their eyes meet, and the butler kisses Teresa.
Teresa's confession
After the secret kiss, Teresa can't stop thinking about it. She tries to avoid the butler, but it turns out to be impossible. Cristóbal, on the other hand, tries to get close to Teresa to explain what happened.
Petra knows Teresa and suspects that something is wrong. Petra asks Teresa why she avoids Mr. Ballesteros. Finally, Teresa confesses to Petra that the butler kissed her.
Teresa also tells Petra the whole truth about Marcelo. Marcelo is not her husband, but her brother. Teresa has never been married. Teresa has never been with any man. She hasn't even noticed anyone since Feliciano's death.
Leocadia's rage
And then Leocadia sees Teresa and Cristóbal kissing, again. Naturally, Leocadia gets angry. What is the murder lady's solution to the matter?
Leocadia finally confesses her love to Cristóbal, which results in Cristóbal breaking off his relationship with Teresa.
Teresa accepts the butler's decision, albeit sadly.
